To those who daily struggle with the evil in their hearts, to those who when wanting to do good find sin right there with them, to those weighed down by constant failure, I offer this brief note of encouragement: It is your heavenly father’s sovereign prerogative and promise to kill the sin in you and make you whole. As one song writer put it, “our shepherd good and true is he, who will at last His Israel free from all her sin and sorrow.” Don’t get me wrong, it won’t be easy. You will fight and get beat down. It will be a painful process, but make no mistake about it; you will win. Sin will be defeated.

hey dude nice blog, im a fellow Christian too, and i was clicking the random blogs button when i stumbled upon your blog. I randomly read this post and have to say its a great post! one thing though, once you accept Christ into your life, sin HAS been defeated. The fact that no Christian can do it on their own is a fact that God well knows! I’m not one to know bible passages by heart but the internet helped me to find this one: Matthew 16:18, “The gates of Hell shall not prevail..”. Gates are referred to as defensive, so that means that God was the offense, and he already crushed Hell and now there is nothing stopping Christians from reaching the ends of the earth. I have to say it must be a God thing i stumbled upon this because my Youth Pastor was talking about this not too long ago. Well have a great day man, God-bless!
